British contemporary artist Conrad Shawcross chose to work with us on his “Three Perpetual Chords” project in Dulwich Park, London.
His project involved the design and manufacture of three unique massive structures.
We meticulously helped design each structure with eleven individual splines which would eventually link together to materialise Conrad’s vision.
We created a pattern and corebox for all thirty-three splines in order to produce 8mm wall thickness iron castings.
To aid alignment and construction, we designed special interlocking spigots that would connect all of the different pieces into the correct orientation when assembled together. Take a look at Conrad’s journey here:
